The 2nd Young Artist Competition is divided into three age categories: Category A (18-30 years), Category B (12-17 years) and Category C (6-11 year).
Category A
Category A: 18-30 years old (Born in the years 1991-2003)
A total of 3,000€, 1,500€, and 1,000€ in cash prizes and awards will be awarded to the winners.
The first-prize winner will be presented in a performance the year following the festival.

Preliminary Video Round
C.P.E. Bach, Sonata in A minor, 1st and 2nd movement (with repeats)
Carl Reinecke, Flute Sonata “Undine”, Op. 167, 1st and 2nd movement (with repeats)
Final Video Round
A 20-minute program including Prokofiev Sonata, Mvt. 1 and Jacques Ibert Piéce for solo flute or Betsy Jolas Épisode I for solo flute.

Preliminary round recordings must be unedited and uploaded as a YouTube video link to the REGISTRATION FORM by Monday, March 1, 2021. Each movement should be recorded individually and uploaded in the exact order listed. Accompanied repertoire must be recorded with piano accompaniment. A short CV, photograph and a 55€ non-refundable fee is also required.
Finalists shall create a program demonstrating artistic maturity, technical and tonal qualities. The program should include the required final round work and reflect a wide variety of styles and/or periods. This may include single movements of works, sonatas, concerti, and unaccompanied pieces. It is not necessary to perform all movements of a single work but any individual movement of a work must be performed in its entirely.
Finalists will be notified by Monday, March 22, 2021 and will be required to send a final video by April 12, 2021.
