About

a soulful and dynamic flutist and teacher

A versatile and soulful flutist, Paloma Catalá Parga has performed around the world, bringing her music to countries such as Argentina, France, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal and Finland. Paloma received her Flute Performance Degree from the ESMUC University of Music in Barcelona with Vincens Prats. During this time, she discovered her love for pedagogy and decided to further her studies in teaching and music education. For 10 years, Paloma served as Flute Professor in the Culleredo Conservatory in Spain. In 2019, she moved to Finland in search for new and enriching musical experiences. Paloma has worked as a performer, flute teacher and early music education instructor (“Muskari”) at some of Finland’s most recognised music schools. Currently, she works at the Tampere Conservatory of Music. Her over 20 years of experience have made her a dynamic, imaginative and motivating teacher, who’s always in search for newer and better methods. Paloma is a certified teacher of the Edwin Gordon Method.
