First Prize winner of the 2023 TFF Young Artist Competition

Slovenian flutist, Nika Oder, is currently studying at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz, Austria with Erwin Klambauer, Principal Flutist of the Vienna Symphony Orchestra, and Peter Verhoyen, Principal Piccolo of the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra. Nika has been awarded the Öststipendium der Stadt Graz Scholarship and the Slovenian Ministry for Culture Scholarship in recognition of her remarkable talent and dedication. At the young age of 21, Nika has performed as a soloist with various professional ensembles such as the Slovene Philharmonic String Chamber Orchestra. She regularly performs with various international youth orchestras, including the Wiener Jeunesse-Orchester in Austria, the Orchestre des Jeunes de la Mediterranee in France and ESYO in Italy. Nika is a prize winner of several international and national competitions. In 2022, she won 2nd prize at the Deutsche Gesellschaft Für Flöte E.V. Competition and in 2023, she won 1st prize and special prize for the compulsory piece at the Tampere Flute Fest Young Artist Competition. Nika has participated in masterclasses with world-renowned flutists such as Joséphine Olech, Emily Beynon, Adriana Ferreira, and others.
