Denis Bouriakov is one of the world’s leading flute soloists

Established as one of the world’s leading flute soloists, Denis Bouriakov has been a prize winner at most major international flute competitions, including Prague Spring, Nielsen, Munich ARD, Kobe, Rampal, Nicolet, Larrieu, and others. He is currently the Principal Flutist of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, appointed by Gustavo Dudamel in 2015, and has previously served as the Principal Flute of the Metropolitan Opera in New York, the Barcelona Symphony Orchestra in Spain and the Tampere Philharmonic Orchestra in Finland. Denis combines his orchestral and solo career, regularly performing concertos and recitals worldwide. Since 2017, Denis is the Flute Professor at the University of California Los Angeles.
