Tampere Flute Fest 2026 is excited to invite submissions from pianists who specialize in collaborative piano for the upcoming festival, taking place from April 24–26, 2026, in Tampere, Finland.

This is a unique opportunity for enthusiastic collaborative pianists to engage deeply with flute repertoire while gaining invaluable experience performing alongside esteemed international artists. As one of the leading flute festivals in the Nordic region and beyond, Tampere Flute Fest offers an unparalleled platform for emerging musicians to showcase their talent in front of an audience of fellow artists, educators, and enthusiasts.

Participants will not only have the chance to perform but also to connect and network with renowned artists, fostering relationships that can lead to future collaborations. The festival’s theme, Fantasy: From Baroque to Modern, invites innovative and diverse interpretations, encouraging participants to explore creative paths and expand their artistic horizons.

Submissions are due on Sunday, February 1, 2026.

    • A high-definition photo.
    • Links to two video recordings featuring selections from the flute repertoire with a flutist, hosted on YouTube (please ensure the links allow for viewing).
    • Biography (max. 300 words).
    • Letter of recommendation from a current professor.

We recommend selecting works that are well-regarded in the flute repertoire, such as Jolivet’s Chant de Linos, Dutilleux’s Sonatine, Reinecke’s Sonata Undine, and Fauré’s Fantasie, to maximize chances of success.

All applicants will receive notification of the selection results soon after the application deadline. Those selected will be included in the lineup of artists for the 2026 festival, and letters of invitation will be issued to assist with travel grants or institutional funding.
