YOUNG FINNISH TALENT

Young talent Seela Latonen started playing the flute at the age of three at the Käpylä Music Institute with Marja-Leena Mäkilä and has continued since the age of four at the Central Helsinki Music Institute under the tutelage of Heli Talvitie. She has achieved competitive success in the Huittisten hullu puhallus -competition (2nd prize 2022 and 2018), the international Tampere Flute Fest Young Artist Competition (2nd prize 2021 and 2020), the Jugend Musiziert -competition (1st prize 2023 & 2021) in Helsinki and the national Young Flutist Competition (1st prize 2023).
