INTERNATIONAL YOUNG TALENT
Fabian, born in 2007, has been studying at the Leopold Mozart Institut for highly talented students at the Mozarteum University Salzburg (Priv. Doz. Britta Bauer) since 2016 and since 2020 he has also been a student of Prof. Andrea Lieberknecht at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz in Munich. In autumn 2023 he started his Bachelor of Music also with Andrea Lieberknecht in Munich. In the last few years he won numerous 1st prizes in national and international competitions. In 2023 he won for the fourth time the Bundeswettbewerb „Jugend Musiziert“ in Germany with a first prize and highest points plus a special price for playing an own composition. In autumn 2023 he was awarded the second prize and EMCY prize at the International „Concertino Praga“ competition as the only wind player in the finals. Over the years Fabian also got a number of special prizes and audience awards. He has been invited as a guest artist to many international music festivals. The radio program BR4 Classic broadcasted several pieces for composed and played by himself. In 2022 he premiered his composition „Icy Times“ for flute and piano at the Tampere Flute Fest gala concert in Finland. Fabian played as a soloist with several professional orchestras .In 2021 he premiered a flute concertino of the suisse composer Blaise Mettraux with the Orchestre de Chambre de Genève which was dedicated to him. He loves chamber music and has been/is a member of several chamber music groups. Fabian is also a passionated orchestra musician and is/has been a member of several orchestras like the VBW Festival orchestra, the Concertgebouw Young orchest and the National German Youth Orchestra. He is a scholarship holder of the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben, the internationale Musikakademie Liechtenstein, Yehudi Menuhin Live Music Now Munich and from 2024 on of the Mozart Gesellschaft Dortmund. For him it is very important to make music especially for young people in order to inspire them for music and to do a little step to turn the world into a better place.
